A few years later the Indian Nation bought out the Grand's interest and began operating the casino themselves, changing the name to Paragon Casino Resort. The Grand Avoyelles opened in June of 1994, owned by the Tunica-Biloxi Indian Nation and operated by the Grand Casinos.
